Learning Software: Clicker 5 community now shares a classroom with Acapela.

With Clicker 5, the end user can simply click on any word in the well known Clicker grids to hear it before writing. Or choose to hear letters, words or sentences on the fly while typing. Text to speech is used to give immediate vocal feedback to the pupils either to help them to turn words into text or to proof read what they have written. The immediate benefits for the pupil are more autonomy, enhanced self confidence and immediate increase in motivation.

Thanks to text to speech, Clicker can also be used as a communication aid. Clicker Grids can be operated with simple switches and text to speech feedback helps pupils to progress in their writing process from simple editing to full talking book creation. Clicker 5 is already available in UK and US English. Additional languages will be added in 2006.
