Lucent Technologies adds Acapela TTS to its MiLife(tm) VoiceXML Gateway solution

Lucent Technologies has chosen Acapela Group as a partner for its MiLife(tm) VoiceXML Gateway solution, which will be used to provide voice access to Internet content, through a full dialogue interface.

Subscribers need only dial a service access, or 'Voice Portal' number to navigate through appropriately formatted Internet content using natural spoken language, and can receive information with a text-to-speech response.

Using the MiLife(tm) VoiceXML Gateway, mobile operators will leverage their voice services for new revenue opportunities, opening the Mobile Internet user experience to their subscribers anytime, anywhere, regardless of handset technology.

Using Acapela text-to-speech, Lucent's mobile operator customers can introduce telephone access to high-end voice-enabled services, providing up-to-date information for a variety of services, ranging from e-mail to web content reading.

The MiLife(tm) VoiceXML Gateway is deployed on Lucent's eMRS (enhanced Media Resource Server), a carrier grade platform allowing mobile operators to rapidly and reliably introduce new services with minimum network impact.

The MiLife(tm) VoiceXML Gateway will be speech-enabled with Speech CUBE(tm), Acapela 's high density multilingual, multichannel TTS software for client-server architecture.

This new integration by a major player such as Lucent Technologies demonstrates once again Acapela 's capability to serve operator's needs through an appealing and highly efficient solution.
